About
Nanette Jordan
A lifetime of demonstrating dogged determination and fearless change is
Nanette Jordan's trademark.
Her life path has struck a unique course from designer to corporate marketer,
from mother to teacher, and from mentor to certified coach.
After receiving her college degree in 1970, Nanette began a career
designing bold marketing programs and dynamic sales campaigns working
with Fortune 100 Companies. The result?.....a solid twenty year foundation
for Nanette's own future businesses: NanetteDesigns and Jordan Coaching.
Then at the age of 42, Nanette decided to hang up her "power suits"
and become a mother, adopting Mayan Indian baby Delia. With no firm plan
for their support, in what has become Nanette's signature "can-do"
spirit, she leapt........and a net appeared.
While
tending to her first and most important commitment as a mother, Nanette
resurrected a childhood hobby, making earrings at the kitchen table. She'd
put Delia in a stroller, walk into local boutiques with her jewelry...
and she would walk out with a check. Nanette never imagined that her
solid twenty year foundation in marketing would catapult her beyond her
wildest dreams running a successful business as a serious jewelry designer.
Hence 'NanetteDesigns'
was
born.
Since then, The Smithsonian's Renwick Museum as well as many other fine
galleries, museums and stores worldwide have featured her work.
Her
designs have traveled to Japan with the California Gold Collections over
a span of five years.
She is honored to have exhibited her work in museum collections alongside
works by Andy Warhol, Christo, designer Kenneth Cole, and Yoko Ono. Pieces
are in the collections of such notables as Oprah Winfrey and Celine Dion
to name a few.
Other experience spans successfully selling her work at numerous
prestigious juried art festivals, managing a team of wholesale reps, and
mass-producing collections for well-known department stores such as Marshall
Fields and Nordstrom, and for catalogs such as Coldwater Creek and Sundance.
A number of years ago Nanette began mentoring other up-and-coming
artists and designers on marketing and selling their work. This evolved
into marketing coaching for a broad spectrum of businesses. Nanette offers
workshops, has taught college courses, writes articles, and presents speaking
engagements. She also continues her individual Life Coaching.
She has taught Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development at schools
such as The Fashion Institute of San Francisco (FIDM), has offered
workshops and seminars at California College of The Arts in Oakland (CCAC),
and at College of Marin.
In recent years, NanetteDesigns has taken a back-seat to her coaching.
Ready for another major life shift, Nanette Jordan retired from designing
and embarked on the schooling necessary to become a certified professional
coach. Attending the Coaches Training Institute in Marin, an accredited
International Coach Federation School, and receiving her professional
certification in 2006 (CPCC), Nanette continues her ongoing education
as a Co-Active Coach. Nanette is also certified by The International Coach
Federation (ACC).
As a life-coach, Nanette and her clients address issues ranging from pursuing
life purpose and understanding one's calling, to family dynamics, career
transitions, and transformative goals.
In business, Nanette coaches within companies of all sizes on leadership,
increasing sales, team-building, marketing, and on a greater positive
impact.
All
of Nanette's successes have grown out of her resolve to remain centered
in her purpose. May you use your gifts to create a daily masterpiece.
